Meet the women behind LoomMas
As boutique consultants, facilitators, workshop designers, storytellers, and full time mothers, when we quit our jobs and ventured out into the world of entrepreneurship, we realized just how hard it was.
It was hard to build up our brand. It was hard to find clients. It was hard to navigate invoices, contracting, proposals—even how much to charge. And we realized that we were not alone in this. All of our friends and colleagues who were trying to do the same thing were having the same struggles.
So we decided to do something about it. We built LoomMas in an effort to support others like us. The end goal is to ensure experts are successful and thrive as they engage in work that brings joy and meaning to their life.
We’ve seen firsthand how the power of collaboration can solve complex and ambiguous challenges. Through LoomMas, we bring the collective wisdom of experts around the world to organizations that are looking for them. We believe that together there’s no challenge that can’t be solved.
Anca Castillo, Co-Founder

Anca is a human-centered designer, collaboration expert, strategic storyteller, and an avid rule breaker. Anca has helped organizations across higher education, health, and technology, and has worked with for-profit, non-profit, and government entities to solve wicked challenges and share the leaders of the future. With her expertise in facilitation, human centered design, strategy development, visual thinking strategies, process improvement, and leadership development, she loves to craft social designs that unite diverse stakeholders to shape preferred futures. Since quitting her full-time leadership role and diving into the exciting world of entrepreneurship, she has experienced the ins and outs of launching and co-running a boutique consulting firm. That experience has fueled her passion to develop LoomMas with her co-Founder Cary Lopez and support other experts and solo-preneurs and the organizations looking for them.
Cary Lopez, Ph.D, Co-Founder

Cary is an organizational transformation expert and facilitator with a strong track record of utilizing human-centered frameworks and collaborative inquiry skills to craft strategy. She has a veritable alphabet soup of credentials, including being one of the first 500 Certified Change Management Practitioners (CCMP), LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Certified Facilitator, Project Management Professional (PMP), and more. Cary has helped organizations of all shapes and sizes develop meaningful identities, missions, and visions, culminating in powerful strategies to move forward. With extensive experience in management consulting, HR, and team collaboration, Cary brings a comprehensive understanding of organizational dynamics and effective leadership strategies. Her Ph.D. research focused on the co-creation of hope in teams, emphasizing the importance of fostering positive and purpose-driven environments. Cary deeply believes in helping people find ways to flourish in their work and lives, and along with her co-founder Anca Castillo, brings this passion to the LoomMas community.
